The Surrey Hills featured heavily in the London 2012 Olympics road cycling circuit, so technically perhaps this was less about in the footsteps of Olympians and more in their wheel tracks. Either way, our Dan McKissock was part of the Saffery/Keystone Law peloton that tackled a 40 mile route across the hills and lanes of Surrey last Friday. The ride included an attack on Box Hill’s iconic Zig-Zag road, with the route starting and finishing at Denbies wine estate in Dorking.
Dan was part of a group of nearly fifty riders, all from different areas of the financial services industry. Apart from tackling the challenging terrain, the group was also able to enjoy the good weather, beautiful views and raise over £5,000 for charity into the bargain. The money was for London based charity Action Medical Research for Children.
Congratulations to Dan and the other riders, and we look forward to 2026’s event when we hope to field a larger Connor Broadley team.
