Football career cut short by injury, with no insurance cover. Peter Mead, Millwall’s chairman, offers the lifeline of a job in advertising at his agency Abbott Mead Vickers (AMV)

Leaves advertising to start career in personal financial advice, with Lucas Fettes

Meets future wife Sarah on the train home. They go on to have three children, Jimmy, George, and Maggie

2007

Co-founds Connor Broadley with best friend Peter Broadley, just before the global financial crisis, as it turns out

2011

Influenced by experience of the financial crisis, Connor Broadley launches its own discretionary investment management service
